Newtown Festival - Recap
Newtown Festival, on Sunday the 4th of March, was alive with music and joyous atmosphere complemented perfectly by yet another beautiful Wellington day.
Vinnie’s Re Sew set up on Green street with other ethical and eco conscious stalls, such as Rally for Climate Justice, the JustSpeak Charity organisation, and This & That, who like Re Sew make good use of abandoned textiles.
Many visitors to the Re Sew stall had heard of us from the news & enjoyed chatting about our work for the environment and community. Others, who hadn't heard of us, had the privilege to learn face to face with our lovely volunteers who did an amazing job throughout the day.
Selling a variety of crafts, all re-purposed fabric, the stall made $371 which will go a long way towards maintaining the space in Kilbirnie. It was amazing to be apart of such a great event. Thanks to our volunteers on the day, and thanks to all of those who managed to visit and say hi!
