There are all kinds of ways you, your organisation or your school can fundraise for Vinnies Wellington.
Online auction
Auction a product or service and donate the proceeds to Vinnies Wellington. You can sell items through Trade Me or run a social media campaign. Just make sure everyone knows the auction is for a good cause!
Donation drive
Donation drives support Vinnies Wellington through the collection of quality goods and financial donations. It’s easy! 1. Ask your family, friends and colleagues to make donations of quality goods. You can promote the collection via social media or word of mouth. Charge a small fee for collecting, sorting and delivering the items to your local Vinnies store. Donate the proceeds to Vinnies Wellington’s social services.
Car wash
Wash people's cars in exchange for a donate to Vinnies Wellington. Host the event at a location that’s easily visible and accessible from high-traffic areas. You’ll also want to make sure you have plenty of space to wash, dry, and collect money from customers.
Bake sale
Holding a bake sale at your school, club or workplace is a tried and true fundraising event. People can donate for the chance to taste test and vote for their favorites, or scrap the competition idea and simply charge a flat rate for each baked good someone purchases.
Events
Bringing people together for a fun event and asking them to donate in exchange for a ticket is a great way of enjoying some social time for a good cause. Movie nights, art sales, quizzes, karaoke nights and art classes are always popular.
Run a raffle
Raffles as fundraisers have been around for a long time… because they work! You could raffle items from your own business or ask local businesses to donate items or vouchers. Remember, raffles and lotteries with a prize worth $500 or more need a special license from the Department of Internal Affairs.
Have a mufti day
Run a mufti day where people make a donation to take part… and an even bigger donation not to! You can make it as extreme as you like – kids-dress-their-parents-for-work day?

Feeling active? Take part in a fun run, triathlon or marathon and collect donations on behalf of Vinnies Wellington
Provide a service
Provide a service in exchange for a donation to Vinnies Wellington. Dog walking, pet sitting, cleaning, car washing, lawn mowing are all popular ideas.
