The Chair of the Wellington Night Shelter, John Kennedy-Good is pleased to announce the appointment of a new General Manager, Kirsty Buggins. Kirsty will take over as General Manager on Monday 10th October 2016.
A highly skilled leadership and professional development specialist, Kirsty most recently ran her own management consultancy that focused on staff and leadership training opportunities as well as research, strategic development and organisational change for providers in the homelessness, housing and social care sectors in both the UK and NZ. She has also held a number of senior management positions, including at the Wellington Sexual Abuse Help Foundation and managed within the good practice section of Homeless Link, the national body for the homelessness sector in the UK. She is no stranger to the Wellington Night Shelter having served as a Trust Board member some 10 years ago during a period of transformation for the Shelter towards providing transitional accommodation to support individuals into more permanent housing options.

Kirsty has a MBA in Management Consultancy from the University of Wales and is involved in Welling-ton’s roller derby community.
